The Constellations
The Constellations is a pair of pieces by Danillle Roney for the Denver International Airport. These pieces fill two atriums in the C concourse with a dramatic representation of the constellations Pegasus and the Herdsman. Pegasus is overhead in Denver during the winter solstice and the Herdsman is overhead in the summer.

Each of these sculptures represents the constellations as the stars appear in distances from earth. The globes representing the stars in their positions.

The atriums allow views of the sculptures in the interior of the airport and out into the sky above through the glass ceilings. The sculptures bring life and interest into the atriums with the scale and artistic form they were designed with.
